Jasmin Velasco is a passionate educator and storyteller whose heart beats for family, community, and culture. As a Parent and Family Engagement Specialist in Los Angeles, Jasmin partners with families to champion their children’s academic and personal growth. Her day-to-day mission? Building bridges between schools and homes through education, advocacy, and connection. But her magic doesn’t stop there. Jasmin is also a picture book author inspired by la sobremesa, the beautiful tradition of lingering at the table after a meal to share stories, laughter, and memories. Her writing celebrates these moments of love, culture, and everyday joy. When she’s not supporting families or crafting heartfelt stories, you’ll find her making traditional meals, enjoying time with her loved ones, or on a mission to find LA’s best cafecito and pan dulce.
